West Prairie Hires Mr. Curt Rheingans, New Superintendent
The West Prairie C.U.S.D. #103 Board of Education is pleased to announce the hiring of Mr. Curt Rheingans as the new Superintendent of West Prairie starting July 1, 2026.
A statement from Mr. Curt Rheingans:
"I have spent the past nine years serving as a superintendent, following earlier roles as a school principal and director of special education. I began my career in education as a fourth- and fifth-grade teacher. These experiences are what continue to shape my student-centered approach to leadership. I believe that strong relationships and transparency with all members of the community are essential to ensuring continued success at West Prairie Schools.
My wife, Carrie, and I have three adult sons, and in our free time we all enjoy traveling and cheering on the Iowa State Cyclone athletic teams. As I prepare to begin on July 1, I am excited to meet members of the West Prairie community.”
