The McDonough County Youth Task Force is excited to host their upcoming Spring into Summer event!
The purpose of this event is to connect families with local spring and summer opportunities. A variety of community organizations will be present to promote their youth programs, share information, and offer on-site sign-ups.
This is a FREE event open to all McDonough County families!

West Prairie High School will be hosting a Scholarship Tools & Resources Night for juniors, seniors, and their parents on Tuesday, March 3rd at 6:00 PM.
Join us to learn about:
• Local and national scholarship opportunities
• Helpful scholarship search tools and resources
• Tips for completing strong scholarship applications
• Ways to stay organized and meet deadlines
Our presenter for this event is Sonya Hicks, a financial aid associate for Western Illinois University and our very own varsity cheerleading coach.
This informational session is designed to help students and families feel confident and prepared as they navigate the scholarship process. Whether you’re just getting started or already applying, this evening will provide valuable guidance and support.
We hope to see all interested juniors, seniors, and their families there!

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Congratulations to our Lady Cyclones on their thrilling victory over Liberty last night! The hard work, grit, and heart they left on the court have earned them a spot in the Regional Championship!
The Cyclones will take on Havana this Thursday, February 19, with tip-off set for 7:00 PM at Havana High School.
Let’s pack the stands and show our Cyclone pride! A fan bus will be available for those who want to travel and cheer the girls on as they chase a Regional title.
Today’s scholastic bowl practice is being moved to Thursday due to illness.
WIU Cheerleaders are having a Cheerleading Clinic Saturday, Feb. 28th 8:30am-10:30am at Brophy Hall Gym. Participants will perform at halftime during the Men’s Basketball Game on Feb. 28th.

Students that applied to Carl Sandburg College to take dual credit classes for next year will take the Accuplacer test tomorrow morning after announcements.
Freshmen and Sophomores should bring their SIGNED course registration forms to their English class today.
The National Honor Society Blood Drive is this Friday. There are a couple of donation slots left to be filled. Contact an NHS member if you would like to sign up.
