While the journalism class is leading the way, we want this to be a space for all student voices. If you have an article idea, opinion piece, or story you’d like to share, we’d love to feature it. Student guest writers are welcome to contribute to the blog. For more information or to get your writing added, email or talk with Mr. Sullivan.

Please remember that there needs to be a minimum of 5 guys to be able to participate in Iron man and 8 girls to be able to participate in powderpuff. Please get signed up and help bring your class to a victory! Remember t-shirts are required for this event and order forms need to be in by this Friday! If you have any questions please let Mrs. Henry or Mrs. Hepner know.
-High School Students - The Homecoming Dance is on Saturday, October 4. If you are seeking to bring a non-West Prairie student, you must submit the Guest Request form by next Friday, September 26. Pick up a copy of the form in the front office.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Congrats to the JV and Varsity volleyball teams on their wins last night in Peoria Heights.
The JV won their match by scores of 25-17 and 25-12.
The team was led defensively by Madison McClure and Lilly Sheffler with 6 digs each. Ashlynn Kelley and Alyvia Barkley chipped in with one block each.
The team served very well last night as well. Lilly Sheffler led the team with 3 aces and 9 points scored, and Josie Hodges had 4 aces with 8 points scored.
On the offensive side of the ball, Josie Hodges led the team with 14 assists. Niah Zimmerman had 6 kills, and Payton McGrew had 4 kills.
The varsity won their match by scores of 25-20 and 25-13.
Alexa Barkley led the team from the service line with 2 aces and 10 points scored. Abby Starbuck had 2 aces and 10 points scored as well.
Madelynn Sullivan led the offense with 13 assists, and Alexa Barkley had 5 kills. Jaycee Reynoso and Niah Zimmerman also had 3 kills each.
The Cyclones next game is Wednesday against North Fulton in Cuba at 6 PM. Good luck ladies!

Congrats to the varsity Lady Cyclones on their win last night in Astoria against South Fulton.
The scores were 25-14 and 25-15.
The girls had a very well-rounded performance, with contributions from players all over the floor. Alexa Barkley led the team with 7 kills, followed by Madelynn Sulivan and Niah Zimmerman with 6 kills each, and Alyvia Barkley with 4 kills.
Madelynn Sullivan had 19 assists, and Macy Branch had 2 aces and 9 points scored from the service line.
Madelynn Sullivan led the team with 10 digs and 2.5 blocks; Abby Starbuck had 6 digs, and Macy Branch, Niah Zimmerman, and Alyvia Barkley had 5 digs each.
