About

Superintendent Guy Gradert

Dear West Prairie CUSD Stakeholders,

Welcome to West Prairie CUSD103. Our District proudly serves over 600 students and their families from the rural communities of Blandinsville, Colchester, Good Hope, Sciota, and Tennessee. The District has two PreK-6 elementary schools. The North Elementary is located in Good Hope and the South Elementary is located in Colchester. In August of 2023, the Junior and Senior High Schools were brought together in a newly renovated facility in Colchester.

The over 120 employees of West Prairie CUSD work collectively to offer our students and their families equitable educational opportunities in and out of the classroom. West Prairie provides complete services to facilitate whole-child instruction which includes academic achievement as well as social and emotional support and guidance. We appreciate the partnership of the community in our mission to empower our students through education to live healthy and productive lives. The West Prairie vision statement is , ‘Learning is a lifestyle.’ These formative years of K-12 education are the best times of our lives to cultivate this good habit. We seek to provide a solid foundation of knowledge and skills for our students to carry with them throughout their lives.

Sincerely,

Guy W. Gradert

Superintendent
